Current Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid Positions)
Volunteer needed for More than 1 year
Opportunity Description: There are certain qualities that seem to be common to individuals who are successful in working as volunteers in hospice programs. They affirm life and enjoy living; they give of themselves always and think of this as a privilege. With a flexible schedule (from social contact for the patient and caregiver, providing spiritual support, running errands, assistance with house/yard maintenance and office assistance as requested) you may want to think about becoming a hospice volunteer. Free comprehensive training is available and no medical background is needed. by visting an assigned patient regularly, you give a much needed break to a caregiver, a gift of listening and compassion and a gift of support and assistance. The hospice is not complete without our volunteers. Regency Hospice is seeking volunteers in the Aiken County area. Please contact Sue King, Volunteer Coordinator at Regency Hospice for further information on training.(803) 648-2117Free inservices also available to organizations upon request.
